Privacy Policy
What We Are
Icarus is a client app that lets you connect to and manage your own media‑related services (for example: Sonarr, Radarr, Overseerr, Tautulli). We do not host, proxy, index, or distribute media.
What We Don’t Collect
- No copies of your media, media library contents, or watch history are collected or stored by us.
- No credentials for your services leave your device (they are stored on‑device and, if you choose, in your encrypted iCloud backup).
- No third‑party advertising SDKs or trackers.
What We Collect (Minimal)
Only what’s necessary to make Icarus work across your devices and deliver notifications:
- Apple Sign‑In Identifier (for authentication and entitlement).
- Device Identifier (to associate notifications and features with your device).
- Webhook URL / Token (to route optional push notifications you enable).
- iCloud Backup Data (optional; encrypted by Apple via CloudKit when you enable backup/restore).
How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate you with Apple and keep your subscription/entitlements in sync.
- Route notifications you choose to receive using your webhook token.
- Sync your own app settings across your devices via iCloud if you enable backup.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
Your Data Is Yours
You own your data and media. Icarus simply connects to the services you control. Disable integrations at any time in the app. You can request deletion of server‑side identifiers (Apple Sign‑In ID, device ID, webhook token) by emailing [email protected].
Security & Storage
- Apple CloudKit encrypts any backup data you choose to store.
- Cloudflare stores the webhook token and routing identifiers required to deliver notifications.
- All app‑to‑service communication uses HTTPS where supported by your services.
Third‑Party Services
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, CloudKit/iCloud).
- Cloudflare (token and routing identifiers used for webhook routing).
These services have their own privacy policies and security practices.
Retention & Deletion
We retain only the minimal identifiers described above for as long as you use Icarus features that require them. You may request deletion at any time at [email protected]. Your iCloud backups are under your Apple account and control.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the “Last Updated” date and publish changes here.
